Staff, students, and parents are encouraged to take the Project Tomorrow: SpeakUp survey which will gather data on the use of technology in our school. We will be taking the students to the computer lab by the end of November to take the survey and we are asking parents to provide feedback by completing the survey before the end of quarter 2 as well. Please use the following link to complete the survey. Your input is appreciated!

The Salem Middle School book clubs are sponsoring a collection site for the Project Enlightenment Book Drive, “On The Road to Reading”. Project Enlightenment is a Wake County Public Schools System program that provides support to preschoolers and their families.
We need new or gently used picture books and board books to donate to families that do not have books in their homes. Please send any books you would like to donate to school with your child. Collection bins are located in our school’s library. Students who donate books will be entered in a weekly drawing to win an iTunes gift card. Our goal is to contribute 500 books to the Book Drive.
Thank you for helping to give the gift of literacy.
BEGINNING OF YEAR
SPAN will no longer be used by Wake County and is being replaced by PowerSchool. Parents and students will be able to access grades in real-time. As we understand the process, if a parent/student had access to SPAN last year, no actions need to be taken and the log-in information will remain the same. If you have not had access to SPAN, you will need to complete the following documents and hand-deliver them to the main office.
